Sheriff’s office investigating natural gas leak

The Comanche County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a natural gas leak that forced people to temporarily evacuate their homes Monday night. At approximately 8:30 p.m.

No one injured in structure fire

No one was injured when a vacant building caught fire early Wednesday morning in northwest Comanche County. Firefighters were dispatched to the blaze, which was in the fire district for the Edgewater Park Volunteer Fire Department’s response area, shortly before 1 a.m.

Gas prices continue to fall

OKLAHOMA CITY – While U.S. wholesale gasoline prices at the end of August dropped to their lowest levels since before Russia’s war against Ukraine, prices in Oklahoma fell to a statewide average $3.43 a gallon. Pump prices in southwest Oklahoma slipped even lower prior to the Labor Day holiday.
