No one injured in structure fire

No one was injured when a vacant building caught fire early Wednesday morning in northwest Comanche County.

Firefighters were dispatched to the blaze, which was in the fire district for the Edgewater Park Volunteer Fire Department’s response area, shortly before 1 a.m., according to Comanche County Emergency Management. Crews had the fire under control by 1:38 a.m.

Edgewater Park was assisted by the Porter Hill Volunteer Fire Department, Wichita Mountains Estates Volunteer Fire Department and Paradise Valley Volunteer Fire Department. Apache EMS, the Comanche County Sheriff’s Office and Comanche County-Lawton Emergency Management also assisted.

The cause of the fire has not been determined yet, according to the news release.
