Support needed for Elgin Animal Shelter

Elgin Animal Shelter is asking for donations to help provide for the animals. Currently the animals need: Purina Dog/Cat Chow/Puppy/Kitten Chow. Dog treats. Kong/tough toys. Stainless steel food/water bowls. Non-clumping clay cat litter. Litter pans. Wire- or hard-sided crates.

ELGIN – When it comes to economic development, Comanche County is falling behind other counties, said a candidate for the District 1 seat on the Comanche County Board of Commissioners. “Economic development is not up to par,” Elgin resident John O’Brien said in a June 13 interview.

Early voting continues Friday and Saturday

LAWTON – Eligible voters who want to vote early in the June 28 primary election may receive and cast a ballot from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Comanche County Courthouse.
