SW OK Trails Fest set for Friday, Saturday

Early voting starts June 23

LAWTON – Eligible voters who want to vote early in the June 28 primary election may receive and cast their ballots from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. June 23, and from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. June 25, at the Comanche County Courthouse.

Mobile Wellness Unit to visit Sterling

Health care professionals with the District 5 Southwest Oklahoma County Health Departments will have a mobile wellness unit visiting Sterling on June 23. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., staff members will test: Glucose levels. Cholesterol levels.  HDL (high-density lipoprotein) levels.

Bailey 'pike to go cashless soon

OKLAHOMA CITY – Conversion of the H.E. Bailey Turnpike to “PlatePay” cashless tolling between Newcastle and Lawton is scheduled to start later this month, and conversion of the section between Lawton and the Texas state line, including the Walters tollgate, is slated to start in July. H.E.
