Candlelight vigil to be held for missing Cyril child

A candlelight vigil for 4-year-old Athena Brownfield will be held at 8 p.m. tonight in front of Cyril City Hall. Cyril Fire Chief Gerard Dodson will be present to provide a formal statement on behalf of the Town of Cyril.

Second arrest made; murder charges sought in search for missing Cyril girl

CYRIL — Police made a second arrest Thursday in the disappearance of a missing 4-year-old Cyril girl, seeking charges of murder in the first degree and child neglect.

Tigers steamroll Cement 77-20

CEMENT – Fifteen Tigers scored points Tuesday night as Sterling rolled past Cement 77-20 in a game that backups played the majority of the time. “We came out and started hot,” Sterling head coach Brett Parrish said. “We had several players get buckets early on.
