Cyril Saddles up to host its annual rodeo this weekend

CYRIL – Bull riders, bronc busters and calf ropers will compete in one of Oklahoma’s longest-running rodeos when the 57th annual Cyril Open begins July 22.

Vandals strike Cyril drilling fluid plant

CYRIL – Cleanup work continues at a Cyril drilling fluid plant after vandals released more than 5,900 barrels, or 248,000 gallons, of the leaked chemical overnight Tuesday, according to an Oklahoma Corporation Commission spokesman.

Damages to the Sniders’ home after an EF-1 tornado swept through Monday night. Fortunately no one was home when the storm hit. The Sniders had made the decision to sell their Caddo County home of more than 40 years shortly before the storm.

CYRIL – A twister that swept into Caddo County Monday night has been classified as an EF-1 tornado, according to the National Weather Service.
John Pike, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, said a damage assessment was conducted to determine the tornado’s intensity and strength.

Her mother and maternal grandmother and great- grandfather are also Cyril graduates. Her brother, Riley, was also Valedictorian of his Cyril graduating class.
