Jim Glover, Speaker Pro Tempore Emeritus of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, died Sunday in an Oklahoma City hospital. He was 74. Visitation with the family will be held Saturday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Becker-Rabon Funeral Home, 1502 N.W. Fort Sill Boulevard in Lawton.

LAWTON – To comply with a State Health Department mandate to admit no more inmates to the Comanche County Detention Center for the time being because of a coronavirus outbreak, Comanche County has sent its new detainees arrested over the past three months to Tillman County.

Fletcher Junior High and High school athletes will be able to get their physicals on Tuesday, August , from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Fletcher High School gymnasium. Seventh through 12th grade athletes and cheerleaders are welcomed, and the cost is $20 person.

Oklahoma's own "Another Pink in the Floyd" tribute band helped rock the park during Medicine Park's two-day music festival and Fourth of July Celebration on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4. Several other area annual Fourth of July celebrations were canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak.

FLETCHER - A tragic accident involving three vehicles and a pedestrian resulted in the death of an Oklahoma City man on Wednesday, July 8.   Bernardo Martinez, 41, died at the scene due to massive injuries, reported the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

CYRIL - Congratulations to Raycee Morrow, the CHS Class of 2020 Valedictorian. She is the daughter of Amy and Brock McLemore and Mark Marrow. Her mother and maternal grandmother and great- grandfather are also Cyril graduates. Her brother, Riley, was also Valedictorian of his Cyril graduating class.
