Jace is looking for a safe barn, warehouse, or business where he can spend his days keeping your space vermin-free. A 7-month-old semi-feral male, Jace can be pet, but doesn’t seem to enjoy much human contact. He’d rather prefer to be left alone to do cat stuff such as mousing.

Low-scoring first quarter dooms Sterling in Area Tournament game

STERLING — A low-scoring first quarter doomed Sterling early, as the Lady Tigers never recovered and dropped a disappointing 50-39 Area Tournament game to Okeene. The loss eliminated Sterling from playoff contention, which ended the season with a 22-7 record.

Lady Tigers win Class A regional tournament

STERLING — The Lady Tigers knew they had to win the Class A regional tournament last week, or the season was over. With that in mind, Sterling reeled off three consecutive wins, including a revenge victory in the tourney finals.

Bear is a senior male Labrador-German Shepherd mix who seems to have spent the majority of his life outdoors, but has recently discovered he really enjoys his dog bed, a/c and heat indoors. Friendly with adults and older kids, Bear also gets along with well-mannered female dogs.

Sterling teams lose in district, need 3 wins to advance to Area

STERLING — Tiger head coach Trent Parrish and his team knew heading into this week’s regional tournament that winning was their only option if they wanted to continue playing basketball for another week.

At almost 7 years old, Layce is ready for a loving home. She is good with older kids, and ok with cats, but prefers to be an only dog. She enjoys brisk walks, keeps herself very clean, is housetrained, and loads herself into a vehicle for traveling. Layce is spayed, and current on vaccinations.

Playoffs give Tigers new opportunity; girls enter district tourney with bye

STERLING — The Tigers ended their season on a two-game skid, but they still have hopes when the Class A District Tournament begins Friday at Velma-Alma. Sterling (15-9) lost consecutive games to Cyril (69-29) and Binger-Oney (49-32).

Lady Tigers shut down Rush Springs, 46-29

STERLING — Sterling’s defense rose to the occasion last Friday when the Lady Tigers blocked 25 shots, including 20 by post player Kinley Mansel, as the host team shut down Rush Springs 46-29.
