This week’s featured creature is a most peculiar bird. It is abundant, and you’ve almost certainly seen it at busy department store parking lots. In fact, where people go, so goes the great-tailed grackle.

Medicine Park unveils holiday celebration plans

MEDICINE PARK – It’s that time of the year again! Time to get into the Christmas spirit in Medicine Park. Medicine Park’s Christmas Carnival will commence downtown at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, with Santa’s parade beginning at 2 p.m., according to event coordinator Dwight Cope.
Construction continues on Diamondback Harley-Davison’s Medicine Park clothing outlet Wednesday afternoon. Harley gear shop opening soon in Medicine Park

MEDICINE PARK – Fans of the iconic Harley-Davidson motorcycles will soon have a new place to get their gear in southwest Oklahoma.

Independence Day in the Wichitas

Independence Day festivities will be plentiful in the Comanche County communities of Elgin, Medicine Park, Fletcher, Wichita Mountain Estates and Sterling. ELGIN Elgin’s 2nd annual Sounds of Freedom Festival will be held Saturday, July 2 at the Youth Sports Complex. Festivities begin at 8 a.m.
