CASA of Southwest Oklahoma will host the 2022 Boss of the Toss Cornhole Tournament on Saturday as part of the Elgin Fall Festival.
The tournament will take place in the Elgin Softball Fields parking lot on A Street, according to information from CASA of Southwest Oklahoma. Packet pick-up will begin at 10 a.m. Bags will start flying at 11 a.m., and the tournament should be finished by 5 p.m.
Prizes and trophies will be given for the first-, second- and third-place teams. Prizes will be based on half of the total registration fees, with a 60/30/10 payout for the top three teams.
There will be two players per team, and teams may be any combination of male and female players, according to CASA. The registration fee is $80 per team.
Only 32 teams are allowed, so teams should register as soon as possible.
The tournament is not sanctioned by the American Cornhole Organization, but it will adhere closely to ACO rules as outlined in the organization’s handbook. Visit the ACO’s website, https://americancornhole.com, for rules.
CASA reserves the right to make final rulings on any extenuating circumstances that are not clearly defined in the ACO handbook, such as weather conditions or faulty equipment.
The tournament will use a double-elimination format, with elimination scoring for each round. CASA reserves the right to disqualify any team that engages in inappropriate behavior, distracting behavior or poor sportsmanship as outlined in Chapter 6 of the ACO handbook.
