This doggone duo
Two of Elgin most loved pets are still seeking their furever home.
Sister and Ace are two energetic young canines who enjoy playing together.
Sister, a young, spayed chocolate lab mix, has been at the shelter since January. She plays well outside and loves getting dirty. She also enjoys wrestling with other dogs and playing with her toys.
Ace is a charming, young neutered Mountain Cur mix who likes to flirt with the girls at the shelter. He also loves to play chase with his canine friends and relaxing in the shade.
Sister and Ace have become quite the pair.
“They are best buddies,” said Elgin Animal Welfare Coordinator Lisa Carroll. “If adopted together, they would be an amazing pair.”
Both Sister and Ace are about a year and a half old and current on their vaccinations. Adoption fees are $30 apiece.
To meet Sister and Ace or any of the other adorable adoptable pets, visit the shelter, located at 9788 NE Welch Road, Elgin.
Elgin Animal Shelter is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday.
