LAWTON – Red Dirt musician and noted singer-songwriter Stoney LaRue will be performing at the Apache Casino Hotel on Friday, July 22.

LaRue, a Texas-born, Oklahoma-raised Red Dirt musician best known for his gritty tunes and memorable tracks like “Idabel Blues” and “One Chord Song,” has been a workhorse over nearly two decades of performing all over the country and the world with more than 1 million albums and singles sold over the course of his career, which continues to this very day.
As LaRue noted on his website, “You have to be willing to live it. That’s the only way to make it, and the way that I’ve made it.”
With his continued ability to record stellar studio and live albums between extensive touring schedules, LaRue has grown more focused on what is important regarding crafting songs.
“But I’m not haphazard in what I’m writing or singing anymore,” he said. “I’m more focused and looking ahead to what I want to achieve.”
Meanwhile, Apache Casino Hotel’s Lee Bayless said the hotel and entertainment venue is pleased to feature LaRue “and his Red Dirt country style of music” on their stage.
“We have the best showroom in Oklahoma and always bring you the best concert experience around,” Bayless said. “Great sound, great seats, great shows, gaming, dining, beverages, hotel, everything at one location.”
Guests must be 21 or older to attend concerts. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; show starts at 7:30 p.m.
