CHICKASHA – Get ready for the 2022 Extreme Monster Truck Summer Nationals, held at the Grady County Fairgrounds this weekend.
High-flying, car-crushing action starts 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday. This event features some of the world’s biggest and baddest trucks as they compete for $30,000 in cash.
Among the trucks appearing will be top Redneck Truck ‘Get-Er-Done,’ Monster Jam World Champ ‘Bounty Hunter,’ Young Gun Star ‘Get-Er-Done II.’ Mexico’s number one monster truck ‘Hot Tamale’ will appear as well as the newest truck on the scene, 2022’s ‘Venom.’
Event promoter James Morris, of Horsepower Promotions, said he’s also excited about the new division of mega trucks. With large, skinny tires, he estimates the trucks to be 12-13 feet tall.
Some fans can also test their skills and machinery to win some cash with the local Tuff Truck contest. Those interested in competing in their own cars, trucks or SUVs should call (817) 366-1784.
Folks can also take a ride in the giant school bus, Sergeant Smash.

Tickets are $27 for adults; kids ages 2-12 get in for $15. VIP tickets are available for $30. Tickets are available at showclix.com or at the gate.
As an extra bonus, kids can meet Batman and get a free superhero souvenir with a VIP ticket.
Grady County Fairgrounds is located at 500 East Choctaw Avenue.
