LAWTON – The Cameron men’s cross country team won the Aggie Duels Friday morning at the Big Green Soccer Complex in Lawton.
The Aggies won with 22 points with three finishers in the top five. Northwestern Oklahoma State placed second with 38 points, and Redlands Community College took home third. Science & Arts of Oklahoma and Oklahoma Panhandle State also ran but did not qualify for a team score.
Jake Cousineau led the Black and Gold, winning the individual title with a finish of 25 minutes 41 seconds. Edward Kipruto placed third, clocking a time of 26:31, and Marcos Herrera had a time of 27:11.
Allen Vasquez placed sixth with a time of 27:37, Nino Heluin had a time of 27:43 to finish in seventh, AJ Espino recorded a time of 27:46 to place eighth, and Daniel Parra turned in a 10th place finish with a time of 27:58.
Sebastian Padron, Lamon Miles and Brian Easter also ran for Cameron. Padron finished with a time of 28:13, Miles clocked a time of 28:57 and Easter crossed the finish line at the 30:08 mark.
