LAWTON — Most election board staff members and precinct workers in southwest Oklahoma will get a break this spring. That is what results from local school board and municipal filings last week showed. In most counties, there were no contested seats, while only two incumbents — one in Marlow and one in Walters — were challenged. Snyder School District in Kiowa County, Walters municipal government in Cotton County, and Marlow city and school in Stephens County have primary elections. Candidates running for Seat 6 in Snyder are James Schneiver and Wyatt Hill, while Walters municipal At-Large candidates are Wes Eidson and incumbent Roberta Ellis. Here is a list of filings for school boards unless otherwise noted, by county, by district, office, individual and hometown.
