ELGIN – Scrimmages are a test for the regular season, and it appears the Elgin Owls gridiron squad passed, according to head coach Chalmer Wyatt.

STERLING – Sterling’s softball squad is on a four-game winning streak with the Lady Tigers demonstrating top-notch pitching and hitting. Sterling, ranked 10th in Class A with a 7-4 record, won its recent game by downing Geronimo 5-0 on Tuesday.

Moving to 5A challenging, but Wyatt optimistic about returning starters

ELGIN – Moving to Class 5A will certainly be a challenge for the Elgin Owls when the 2022 football season kicks off, but fourth-year head coach Chalmer Wyatt has no doubts his team will be ready for battle.
