Out of Bounds with Hi Ho

Beaten and bruised we have officially made to playoff football in the state of Oklahoma.

Regular season games have been canceled, postponed and moved all over the calendar in an attempt to have the most complete regular season as possible.

The OSSAA recognized the issues with teams not be able to play and opened up the playoffs to any and every one that wanted a spot in the playoffs.

Sunday afternoon I refreshed my phone every 30 seconds or so to see if the OSSAA had started posting their playoff brackets.

Shortly after 2:00 p.m. the brackets started rolling out for the whole state to see.

We had made it, the brackets were set and I thought it was clear sailing into the playoffs.

But once again this is 2020 and nothing is that simple. As of late Tuesday night nine playoff games, over four different class- es, have already had to be canceled due to COVID-19.

The team that had to cancel is out of the playoffs and the remaining team gets a bye into the next round of the playoffs.

So as they say in show business, the show must go on and it will, as bruised and beat down as we may be.

As always, stay safe and healthy!
