Football is in the air once again!
Not only did Oklahoma have their spring game last week, but the NFL Draft is happening this week and it looks like it may be intriguing for one former Sooner player.
For those of us who keep up with Baker Mayfield, things have been quite interesting for him. Mayfield’s Heisman statue was unveiled at OU this week which has to be the highlight of his off-season.
After the Cleveland Browns stated they wanted to see what a healthy Mayfield would bring to them next year, they threw a curve ball and picked up Deshaun Watson from the Houston Texans.
Watson brings another set of problems with him but that can be for another time and place.
Mayfield asked to be traded, and as of this point, he is still a Brown and has not been moved yet.
One rumor has him going to Tampa Bay to back up Tom Brady for one year and then moving into the starting role, but we will never know when Brady has had enough.
It will be interesting to see if the NFL Draft brings any trades or moves for the former Sooner quarterback.
Jacksonville has the top pick in the draft followed by Detroit, Houston, the Jets and the Giants.
I am hoping for a good landing spot and much success for Mayfield.
