Esports expo set at Apache Casino hotel Events Center

LAWTON – Attention! Gamers of southwest Oklahoma and beyond – the event you have been waiting for is arriving April 29 and 30 at the Apache Casino Hotel Events Center – the All In Esports Expo!

And here’s the kicker: there is $15,000 in cash and prizes at stake, so make sure those gaming thumbs and noggins are ready for action!

Sponsored by Unified and Apache Casino Hotel Esports, this two-day, action-packed event is geared to all levels of gamers, from novices to pros and those who are just curious about gaming and what it is all about.

Apache Casino Hotel Events Center Manager Lee Bayless said for the $35 admission fee, it will get participants into all events.

“There’s team sports, one-on-one combat sports and we’re even bringing in some old-school games like Pac-Man,” Bayless said, adding that there are also a unique Quest system to navigate venues and score bonus points, comparing it to a “scavenger hunt throughout the property.”

And for those into cosplay, there will be professional cosplayers on hand. The public is invited to take part in a cosplay costume contest.

Bayless said Unified, the company that puts on All-In Esports Expo, goes all out in designing the events center area with “lots of sets and neon … high scaffolding and all kinds of trusses and lights,” to give it a unique feel.

And if you are simply an observer, and not playing, you are welcome to watch and do not have to pay the $35 entry fee.

“This is family-friendly and for all ages. No age limits or requirements,” added Bayless.

Additionally, there will be a separate area for those who enjoy trading cards and trading card games like Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Magic: The Gathering and more.

Gamers can earn their way up brackets or leaderboards and land on the big stage, fighting for the cash prizes and loot. And if you are really a stand out, you can end up on the Unified livestream and be broadcast, just like the professionals.

Bayless said the first All In Esports Expo took place in August 2021, after it was canceled in April 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year, hundreds of participants took part in All In Esports Expo and is turning it into an annual event at Apache Casino Hotel Events Center.

Bayless suggested that participants park on the south side of the casino and enter through the Events Center entrance.

All In Esports Expo begins at 2 p.m. on Friday and concludes at 10 p.m. On Saturday. Events begin at 11 a.m. and conclude that evening.
