Winter Sports Wrapping Up
Believe it or not there are other sports going on besides baseball and softball.
My mighty Boston Celtics are back in the Finals for the first time since the 2010 season. They are battling the Golden State Warriors in the best of seven series, and I hope the Celtics can bring home their 18th overall championship.
Hockey is close to the Stanley Cup Finals. The Colorado Avalanche have secured their spot in the Championship series and are waiting the winner of the Tampa Bay Lightning and the New York Rangers. Tamp Bay is looking for their third straight Stanley Cup, having won the past two titles.
Lawton Speedway is having a tough time with all the rain we are getting but are looking to try again this Saturday night, June 11. Weather permitting, they will be hosting the 305 RaceSaver sprints, USRA Factory Stocks, Wingless Limited Sprints, USRA Modifieds and the USRA Tuners. Races start at 8:00 p.m.
