What is with this weather!?
Not only is it a slow time for high school sports, but the weather is playing havoc with the schedules.
Elgin’s baseball camp has been rescheduled, and the summer seasons have been put on hold until the ground dries out. Not only that, but it has also put a damper on the racing at Lawton Speedway. And we will wait and see if we get the races in this week.
We needed the rain. I just don’t think we needed it all at one time! The Big XII baseball tournament has kicked off this week and they have moved the games from Oklahoma City to Globe Life Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
For many years it has been a DeSilver household tradition to travel to OKC and catch most, if not all, of the Big XII tournament. We started to make the trip south to Arlington but here we sit at home watching it on the laptop.
Hopefully they will bring it back to OKC soon.
