Where did the spring weather go? Or did we even actually have a spring?
We went from wearing hoodies one day to trying out how beat the 100 degree weather the next.
With school nearing the end, it is time to turn out attention to summer camps and the pending school “dead period.” The best source to keep with all the camps are on Facebook at Elgin Public Schools Athletics.
There will be no camps during from July 2 – July 10. The OSSAA has declared this time dead period and there can be no use of school facilities or contact between coaches and secondary level students.
Shortly after the dead period ends, it will be time for volleyball, softball and a few other of the fall sports to get started. Football will have to wait till early in August before they can kick-off practice.
Sports just never seems to slow down.
