This past Saturday, several members of Elgin bands in grades 7-12 wrapped up their online audition process for the SWOBDA All-Region Honor Band, the OSSBDA Small-School All-State Honor Band and the first round of auditions for OkMEA All-State Honor Band.
Each of these auditions are usually held live at various audition sites around the state, but, due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19, these auditions were held online. Each student listed below recorded multiple scales, musical exercises and sight-reading for judges from around the state to listen and adjudicate.
Band students from across Oklahoma sent in recordings to earn the high distinction of being named to a regional- or state-level honor band.
