To help celebrate National Pet Month, now through May 20, all four branches of Fort Sill Federal Credit Union will be accepting donations for Elgin Animal Shelter, the company announced.
Patrons are asked to donate items such as Purina pet food, filled shin bones, treats, bowls, non-clumping clay litter, fleece blankets, leashes, collars, toys (EAS recommends Kong toys for canine companions), and cleaning supplies (disinfecting bleach, Dawn dish soap).
“This is a great opportunity for those in the community who wish to help out our local shelter animals,” said Elgin Animal Welfare Coordinator Lisa Carroll. “Not everyone is prepared to bring a new furry family member into their lives at any given moment, but the donation drive allows anyone, and everyone, to contribute to their care.
“Donated food and supplies, ensure that our shelter pets are being well provided for while they wait for a loving, committed home,” she added.
FSFCU’s Lawton branches are located at 1614 NW 67th St., 2 NE 22nd St., and 5202 SW Lee Blvd. Donations are also accepted at 3283 Sheridan Road in Fort Sill.
