Vanderpool makes a splash

    EDMOND – Elgin’s swim teams continue to make waves in high swimming.
    The Owls have only had a swim team for a few years, but continue to rack up honors.
    Vivian Vanderpool has earned the honor of becoming Elgin High School’s first all-state swimmer. At 6:30 p.m., Monday, July 25, Vanderpool will compete at the Oklahoma Coaches Association’s All-State Swim Meet for the West Team.
    The meet will be held at the Mitch Park YMCA/Edmond Public Schools Aquatics Center, 2901 Marilyn Williams Drive in Edmond.
