Owl’s basketball look to bounce into new season

    ELGIN - Elgin’s basketball teams have taken to the courts in search of reaching the playoffs once again. Elgin’s boys basketball team came up just short of making the State Tournament, which was eventually canceled, losing to Tuttle in the Area Tournament. The girls’ basketball team fought through a rebuilding year and finished with a record of 4-20. 

    The boys’ and girls’ teams both tip-off the season on the road when they travel to Elk City on Dec. 1, to open the season. Some highlights of the season will be when Cache visits Elgin on Jan.5, and Elgin travels to Anadarko on Jan. 26.
